 Mullinavat G.A.A. Bord na nÓg A.G.M. 08/02/2014

Bord na nÓg chairman Brian Conway welcomed everyone to the meeting. He began by thanking outgoing Chairman John Dempsey for his outstanding contribution to the club. He thanked all the mentors and club officers for their efforts during the year and he looked forward to working closely with everyone in the club in the year ahead.

Secretary Eamon Aylward presented a comprehensive report on the club activities . He said that while it had been a relatively quiet year at juvenile level, there had been some noteworthy performances.  The under 8’s & under 10’s had been very busy and  had  participated in many events. The trip to Croke Park had been a highlight for this group. The under 12’s had also been very active and were progressing well. The under 14 team  had shown great improvement to reach the semi final where they were unlucky to lose out in a replay. He congratulated county minor John Walsh on winning a Leinster minor medal and  Jack Byrne Doyle on being a member of the Tony Forrestal panel. He appealed for more parents to get involved at juvenile level.
A  management team was put in place for all age levels from under 8 to minor. There will be a registration day in March for all under age players and foundation courses for new coaches will be held in Mullinavat on the 10th of March. Membership for juveniles was fixed at  €20 per player, , €50 for families of 3+.
